9am to 8pm – Sign up for the Velocity Experience
Velocity is back by popular demand for its fourth year. Test your speed, nerve and endurance in a one hour team pursuit. All proceeds raised will support City in the Community’s School Sports programme to deliver increased physical activity to primary school children across Manchester.
Join us at the Velodrome in the National Cycling Centre for fun, cycling and much more.
What is Velocity?
Velocity is a charity track cycling event raising money for MCFC’s foundation, City in the Community. 33 teams will make a difference to the lives of others by raising money for CITC and taking on the Velocity challenge
How does it work?
Teams of five ride a continuous hour and compete against two other teams for some fantastic prizes including the most distance travelled, fastest lap and highest fundraiser.
Is it for me?
Whether you are experiencing track cycling for the first time, or you’re a velodrome regular, as long as you can ride a bike and aged 12 and above, then Velocity is for you.
How much does it cost?
Teams will need to raise £500 (Peak hours) or £150 (Off Peak) with all proceeds going to charity. We don’t take any initial payment. Once you have registered, we will contact you to ask you to register a £20.00 deposit from each rider on your fundraising page, to confirm your team place.
