Community has always been at the heart of Manchester City Football Club both at home and abroad.
Formed in 1986, City in the Community (CITC) Foundation is underpinned on the principle that football is a powerful tool that can uplift communities and tackle a wide range of social problems. We’ve developed a range of programmes and projects that are being delivered in Greater Manchester to break down barriers empower lives through football.
Our programmes are delivered through these four themes: Football and Multi Sports, Skills and Enterprise, Health and Activity, and Community Cohesion.
One of our key aims is to empower people through football. It’s not just a beautiful game but is a force that can be used to uplift our world and our city. We see this in action across Manchester every day.
A big thank you to the Club, Supporter Clubs, partners and sponsors, charitable groups and the Premier League for ensuring these programmes can continue to make a difference.
