About Community Cohesion

Social cohesion as a theme is geared towards bringing all aspects of the community together.

Through a range of different activities and projects we aim to break down barriers, working towards a society in which there is a common vision and sense of belonging by all communities.

Community cohesion values the diversity of people's backgrounds and circumstance. With this in mind CITC deliver projects that we hope will help the participants gain valuable knowledge, skills and build confidence for the future.

"Schemes like this are fantastic because as a football club we have a responsibility to try and help kids around the local community to achieve their goals," Patrick Vieira, Football Development Executive.

In School Education Placements

This is a project where a member of CITC is based in a high school in order to mentor young people and deliver alternate curriculums such as ASDAN.

CITC have a great success rate of helping young people get the best out of their school education and helping students get into further education.

Pre NEETS programme

The aim of the Pre NEETS programme is to engage young people in personal achievement and attainment through sport and vocational learning during year 10 & 11.

We also offer support for students during the transition to college or employment.

City Street (gang culture)

This is an awareness programme where young people are educated about the main issues of gang involvement.

The main issues that will be delivered over a five week period are the effects of alcohol and drugs, sexual exploitation and sexual health, gun and knife crime and next steps to take to stay away from gang culture involvement.
