Raising Aspirations Projects.
A great project looking to boost up the confidence of young individuals.
Raising Aspirations Projects
City in the Community work with a range of young people developing self-esteem, confidence, communication, durability and attendance by participating in a range of confidence based activities including life skills.
We aim to develop team ethic, interaction and communication within a peer group situation and an improvement in behaviour and punctuality is something we strive to achieve within the groups. Projects like this allow the group to share their own experiences, support others and take pride in their achievements, no matter how big or small.
Participants work in a positive environment and are given the opportunity to try new things, some of which are not readily available to them and CITC are aware that no two individuals are the same and these experiences will stay with them for life.
Some pupils may struggle within the school environment, but they still want and deserve to be accepted into the wider society. The work of CITC re-enforces the aim to set these young people on the right path to adulthood and becoming an accepted and valued member of society.
As part of the course, young people gain qualifications including Enterprise City, Ready Steady Work: Employability Skills, Young First Aider and other qualifications relating to personal development.
