Left-back Greg made 22 appearances for the under-18s and will enter his second year of his scholarship in 2012/13.

Leigh hails from Sale and was signed by City from Sale United in 2004 after being spotted by City scouts. A pacey modern full-back, Gregg is not only adept at halting opposition wingers but can also trouble the opposing right-back by bombing on to the byline.

He can also find the back of the net in open play and in the air from set-pieces, as highlighted by his decent return of four goals last year. He’s another of the squad with a decent singing voice.
