Entering the second year of his scholarship is Shay Facey who is a strong, confident defender who missed a large portion of last season through injury. Facey has been a regular through the England age-groups and has made several appearances for the u17s national team.

The talented full-back is at his best when plundering forward and providing the overlap for the extra man in City attacks and has the athleticism to make recovery runs when needed.

Facey was part of the squad that took on Inter Milan in the Ferroli Cup in 2011 and,, since recovering from injury, has been involved with the Elite Development Squad.
