Dominic McHale

Forward

Date of birth

18 June 1996

Place of birth

Manchester, England

Joined City

July 2007

Making his debut as one of three 15-year olds in the starting line-up, Dominic McHale’s u18s career got off to the perfect start in January 2012, when he met a George King cross with a looping header to put City 1-0 against Liverpool.

Perhaps McHale’s most memorable game came last season when he found the back of the net four times against Newcastle - he hasn’t looked back since and signed as a first-year scholar in July 2012.

McHale is quick, direct and loves running at players – qualities that haven’t gone unnoticed at international level, with England u16s coach Kenny Swain calling up Dominic for the Nordic Tournament in August 2012, though unfortunately McHale had to pull out due to injury.

A local lad, McHale joined City from junior side Hough End Griffins in May 2010.
