City on Ambrose:
Before coming to City in 2013, Thierry Ambrose dazzled for Auxerre’s youth teams, representing the u17 and u19 age groups while still just 15 years of age.
Able to play as a striker or anywhere in behind the main forward, Thierry has also caught the eye on the international stage, and is capped for France at u16 level.
His performances up front for the under-18s last season played a defining role in their capture of the Northern Premier League title.
Ambrose scored 22 goals in 32 appearances in all, marking himself out as "one to watch" at the club.
Thierry's hero is namesake Thierry Henry of Arsenal and France fame and it's easy to see why when you see the youngster play, as he drifts in from wide, making it difficult for opposition defenders to pick him up.
The Parisian is also a deceptively tough player, equally adept at tracking back to win the ball to halt promising opposition moves as he is at turning up in the right space at the right time to tap/slam/head home crucial goals.
Thierry earned a pro deal in July 2014 and went straight into Patrick Vieira's Elite Development Squad.
He was rewarded for his fine start to the 2014/15 season when he was named on the bench for the first-team for the first time on 20 December when Crystal Palace visited the Etihad.
