Neymar is back in the City headlines this morning – with speculation that the Blues and Chelsea could be back in the chase to sign him.
The Brazilian star hasn’t been linked with either Premier League side recently with reports that a deal with Barcelona has already been sealed, but the transfer could yet fall through – according to the Daily Express.
The paper’s Jack Wilson writes: “The striker's dad has thrown a spanner in the works and it’s believed his belligerent attitude could threaten the deal going ahead.
“And if it does fall through, Chelsea or City could be about to hijack the deal for the 21-year-old ace.”
Meanwhile, Edin Dzeko’s agent has insisted that the Bosnian striker will remain at the Etihad Stadium next season.
The 27-year-old has been linked with clubs across the continent recently, with Juventus and Napoli reportedly interested in the man who has bagged 14 league goals this season.
However, agent Irfan Redzepagic has said he has had no contact with the clubs.
Sportsmole.co.uk reports: "At the moment I have not received any calls from Italy about Edin," Redzepagic told calciomercato.it.
"These are just rumours, Dzeko will play again next season at Manchester City."
Elsewhere, Carlos Tevez’s agent has been forced into a similar denial over rumours that the Argentinian could be heading to Juventus this summer.
“The former Manchester United man’s agent has explained that as far as Juventus are concerned there has been no contact,” reports insidefutbol.com.
"Carlos is appreciated by many teams, but the truth is that he has to finish the season with Manchester City first", Kia Joorabchian told Tutto Mercato.
"I want to emphasise the fact that in 2013, I have never spoken to Juventus."
