City Under-18s hot-shot Jordi Hiwula is well aware his team face their most difficult challenge yet in their bid for FA Youth Cup glory.
Hiwula, with 19 goals this season, will spearhead the attack for City who are aiming to win the competition for the third time.
“Fulham have good wingers and their strikers will cause any team problems,” said Hiwula.
“Over the last few days we've been briefed on how they play and have been working on a few strategies which we think can cause them some problems, but we’ll need to be at our best to go through.”
Hiwula admitted the FA Youth Cup is the pinnacle of Academy football and the trophy all Under-18 players want to win.
“When I was younger I would always go and watch the team play in the FA Youth Cup and wanted to be part of it,” he smiled.
“Now that I'm actually playing in it I want to just keep going and hopefully reach the final. I want to be part of it – it's a great competition and all the lads feel the same.
“I think we're good enough to win the cup, but it's how you play on the day.
The ability of the players doesn't mean anything unless you put in the effort and as I say, we are up against a very good side
The young City striker also urged the Blues’ fans to come and back the side tonight and help them into the quarter-finals.
“Come and support us to get behind the team,” he said. “That’s my message to the City fans. Playing at home in front of our own people can make the difference on the night and we’re hoping there is a big crowd at Hyde.”
