Following their emphatic 3-0 win over Leeds, City Ladies are preparing to face a struggling bottom of the table Barnet side this weekend.
The Blues will be hoping for a repeat of their opening game of the season when they left Underhill with all three points, again running out 3-0 winners.
Sunday’s meeting will be the third between the sides in all competitions with the very first meeting back in 2005 when Barnet ran out 2-0 winners in the 4th Round of the FA Cup.
“We go into the game full of confidence knowing that if we play to our potential, battle hard, we’ll get the 3 points that we want to keep pushing forward in this league,” said manager Leigh Wood.
“Having played Barnet already this year we have a very good idea about how they are going set up, therefore if we do hit our potential we fully expect to get the three points.”
City’s debut in the National Division has gone very well so far with the Blues sitting in a healthy mid-table position.
Things aren’t looking so positive for The Bees though who, after finishing fourth last year, haven’t quite hit the heights they were hoping to this time out.
They have found some form though in the Premier League Cup where they currently sit comfortably at the top of Group 5 with three wins from three.
City will no doubt be on a high after defeating Leeds - last season’s League and Premier League Cup runners-up.
The game kicks off at 2pm on Sunday 18 November at the Regional Athletics Arena, M11 3FF.
