Buoyed by last week's performance against Coventry, City Ladies face a Cardiff City team on a good run of form.

Narrowly beating the Blues last time out 3-2, City Ladies will be looking to reverse the outcome in their penultimate home game of the season this coming Sunday at the Regional Athletics Arena.

Cardiff City produced a solid result last week seeing off Portsmouth 2-0 and moving up to 5th in the table, now lying one place behind the Blues.

Elsewhere in the division Portsmouth face a tough home game against title chasers Watford LFC, with Sunderland not in action in the league, facing Leeds United LFC in the Premier League Cup, Watford have the opportunity to go top of the table with a win.

Basement side Barnet look to improve on recent results, while performance levels have increased they still need to put points on the board in order to avoid finishing at the bottom, they face Villa this weekend. Charlton in 7th play Coventry in 8th, after an impressive 1-0 victory over Villa last week the Addicks will be looking to stretch the points difference between the clubs to six by Sunday evening.

City Ladies Manager Leigh Wood commented after training:

“This week sees us playing Cardiff for the 2nd time in two weeks. It's not often in football that you get to play against a team that beat you so soon and be able to make amends. We feel that we were hard done by in Cardiff and will be going all out for the win on Sunday.

After last week's 3-0 win against Coventry confidence is high and the players are looking forward to what is likely to be our last game at the Regional Athletics Arena this season. We know that if we press well as a team, have good movement and quality on the ball, we will get the positive result we are looking for."
