The recent cold snap put paid to City Ladies' programme for the last few weeks of 2010, but manager Leigh Woods is looking forward to getting back into action in just over a week's time.

"It will our first game of the New Year and we hope to carry on in the same fashion as we played in the first half of the season.

We have not played since our County Cup game way back on 21st November. We have managed to get a few practice games in since despite the weather, but there’s nothing like a competitive match to see where we’re at for this time of year.

The FA cup has been a bit hit and miss over the past few years for us. Our best performance coming a few years ago when we went got to the fifth round before being knocked out by Everton. However we go into this year’s competition full of confidence on the back of our league form and hope to go as far as possible.

Mossley Hill will be a good test for us, they are playing their first season in the Northern Combination League scoring a lot of goals but they have also conceded as many as they have scored.

If we play to our potential and move the ball quickly, penetrating the space available, we should come out on top. We won't be taking anything for granted, though and we will prepare as thoroughly as we do for all our games.

We look forward to seeing you at the Regional Athletics Arena on the 9th January, kick off is at 1pm."
