Hello Joleon, got a new motor? You see today's footballers driving a variety of vehicles, but Joleon Lescott at the wheel of a 15-seat Vauxhall Movano might still raise a few eyebrows ...

The England centre-half had fun getting to know the ins and outs - and the passenger lift for wheelchair users - on the mini-bus, which will be used by charities and community groups in East Manchester.

City donated £10,000 towards the cost to Openshaw-based Community Transport Manchester, a charity that provides low cost, accessible passenger transport to voluntary and non-profit organisations.

They aim to promote social inclusion, opportunity and quality of life for older people, children and young people, bringing communities together.

The donation was made as part of the CITC Giving scheme, Manchester City’s charitable-giving arm of their Corporate Social Responsibility policy.

At the beginning of the season proactive local charities and not-for-profit organisations were invited to submit an application for the club’s support for a project that they felt would enable them to make a lasting and positive impact on the community in Greater Manchester, and CT Manchester was chosen from a shortlist by fans.
