City in the Community's Blues on the Green event will once again be supported by a host of MCFC former players.
Back for its second year on 18 September, local businesses and Manchester City supporters will join a host of players from the clubs past in an enjoyable fundraising golf day.
CITC ambassador Alex Williams, will be joined by Mike Summerbee, Tommy Booth, Gary Owen, Jim Melrose, Stan Horne and Kenny Clements with more players to be announced.
The shotgun start, 18-hole team tournament, takes place at Mottram Hall golf club in Cheshire, with buggies for all players and a range of great prizes and course competitions.
After a great day’s play, all participants will enjoy a three-course meal in the St Andrews Suite, with a charity auction and presentation of the Claret Jug to the overall winners. Williams will again hold a Q&A session, which this year features club representatives Brian Marwood and Tom Glick.
The former MCFC shot-stopper encouraged all keen golfers to come along and enjoy the day.
"We had a fantastic day at Blues on the Green last year, with great support from national and local businesses making the day special and helping us to raise money for the foundation," he declared.
"To have the former players along is fantastic support for us, and they had a great day last year."
A team of four costs £1,000 with all proceeds benefiting young people in the local community.
