The countdown is on for the Shoot for the Moon Santa Stroll, and we’re delighted to reveal the special guest who will be kicking off the charity challenge on December 4.
Blues manager Roberto Mancini will be dropping in to begin the races at 11:30, which will take participants through the stadium walkways and around the Etihad Campus.
The Stroll is a centrepiece of the festive family fun day, with a host of activities in City Square. More ambitious runners have the option of a 5km Santa Dash, starting and finishing in the Square.
Entry to the Santa Stroll costs £15 for adults and £12 for children, including the exclusive sky blue Santa suit, a race number, medal and a goodie bag upon completion. All participants will also receive 15% off at the City Store on the day on production of a valid race number.
Tickets are now available to purchase in person at the box office or online at www.mcfc.co.uk/santastroll. Your sky blue Santa suits will be available to collect from Thursday 1 December.
The Etihad Campus will be open for the family fun day from 10:30, and the races will begin at 11:30.
Shoot for the Moon was created by Manchester City FC and Sport Relief as a fundraising partnership in order to help young people reach their goals.
The Shoot for the Moon Santa Stroll is the first in a series of great days out where City fans and local people can get active, raise cash and change lives. And with all the money going to help vulnerable young people and families living in the Manchester area, everyone’s a winner!
Over the next few months the partnership will announce a series of exciting fundraising events, giving fans the opportunity to experience top class comedy, see City Legends back in action and play golf with the stars, all whilst raising money for a fantastic cause.
