The Club has confirmed that Irish winger Donal McDermott has joined League One outfit MK Dons on loan for a month.
Following his successes with the FA Youth Cup squad and at reserve team level, the initial short-term move gives the 18-year-old a chance to sample senior league football for the first time and he goes straight into the Milton Keynes squad for their trip to Oldham tomorrow.
Speaking to the Dons' website Donal said: "I'm delighted to be here and I'm looking forward to helping the team continue their good start to the season.
"This is a good opportunity for me to play some competitive football with a team and under a manager that like to play the game in the right way."
Manager Roberto Di Matteo said of the deal: "Donal will give us some more options in wide areas and bring some added pace and quality to the team.
"We need to be patient with him because he is only 18, but he is an exciting player with a good background, and I'm hopeful we can make the loan long-term."
With one player going out, one returns this weekend, as defender Clayton McDonald rejoins the reserve squad following his loan spell with Macclesfield Town. Clayton made two League Two appearances during his time at Moss Rose alongside former City player Terry Dunfield.
