Carlos Tevez will wear his preferred No.32 shirt for the Blues following his move to the City of Manchester Stadium.

The Argentina striker wore 32 at both his previous Barclays Premier League clubs, West Ham and Manchester United, and the squad list for the coming season confirms he will keep to his tradition.

Goalkeeper Shay Given, handed the No.37 jersey when he signed from Newcastle, takes the No.1 spot with Joe Hart spending a season on loan at Birmingham, while new arrival from Aston Villa Stuart Taylor steps in at No.12.

Key midfield signing Gareth Barry will pull on the No.18 shirt vacated by Danny Mills and striker Roque Santa Cruz will have the previously unallocated 14 on his back.

England left-back Wayne Bridge takes the No.3 shirt now that Michael Ball has left the Club. The recent exits of Gelson Fernandes and Didi Hamann leave the 19 and 21 slots, as well as lucky 13, available for new seniors.
