Manchester City has today announced that it has teamed up with a new sponsor partner in Ferrostaal

Previously known as MAN Ferrostaal, the company becomes the Club’s fourth partner and joins with Etihad Airways, Umbro and Etisalat, the latter deal was announced during the Club’s recent trip to Abu Dhabi.

Ferrostaal, a global provider of industrial services in plant construction and engineering, is based in Essen, Germany and employs around 4,440 people in more than 60 different countries.  In 2008, its annual turnover amounted to 1.6 billion Euros.

The partnership was sealed at a meeting in Essen today at which CEO of Ferrostaal, Dr Matthias Mitscherlich, was present together with Club CEO Garry Cook and Chief Commercial Officer Steve Sayer.

As a result of the deal, which will run until the end of the 2011/12 Premier League season, Ferrostaal’s company logo will appear on perimeter boards at every home league and domestic cup game.

In addition, a pre-season friendly will be played against a German Bundesliga club in the region, during the closed season of each of the three years of the deal.

The partnership with Manchester City is an ideal opportunity for Ferrostaal to advertise our company internationally.

"Football is a sport which is very popular in the countries which are important for us and attracts a great degree of attention there,” said Dr Mitscherlich of the agreement.

Garry Cook added: “We are delighted to become partners with a company of the calibre of Ferrostaal.

”With their recently gained independence, they are embarking on an exciting period in their history just as Manchester City has entered its own bright new era. As a premium company, with world recognition in its field, Ferrostaal joins with our other valued partners Etihad, Umbro and Etisalat, and gives us the opportunity to work and connect together as a group of companies as we and they continue to grow globally.”
