Umbro Playlist for Birmingham

We’re firmly in what is known as the ‘business end’ of the season now, with many key decisions on promotion and relegation being made across the divisions.

For City, the battle for fourth place in the Premier League is also coming to a climax, with this weekend’s match against Birmingham sure to play a vital role. Alex McLeish’s team are having a great season so far, surprising a lot of people since their promotion from the Championship, but lets hope that their luck runs out on Sunday!

For the Umbro Playlist for this match, we asked you to pick the best tracks to come out of Birmingham and the Midlands, and as usual you gave us some cracking choices – plenty of Black Sabbath fans around! Our favourite selection came from James Tite, who picked three bands from all around the Midlands. Here’s his choices:

Dexy’s Midnight Runners – Geno

The Specials – Enjoy Yourself

Cornershop – Brimful Of Asha (Norman Cook Remix)

All good choices for getting the crowd going on Sunday! Congratulations to James, who wins a pair of tickets to the game, and the chance to listen to his tracks blasting out around the ground before the match.

The next home game at the City Of Manchester stadium is certainly one you could describe as a big one – it’s the derby against them lot from the other side of Manchester. It’s also a game where we’ll be looking to celebrate the awesome Carlos Tevez and everything he’s done for City this season, so we want you to pick songs that encapsulate the Argentinean wonder and the season he’s had here at City. It’s a tricky one, but we’re sure you’ll be able to come up with some crackers. Good luck, and get picking those top tunes!
