Etihad Player of the Month Award

It's back! Etihad's popular Player of the Month award takes off again today - and that offers a golden opportunity for one lucky fan to present the prize to the winning player.

Make sure you vote for your selection and you could be chosen at random to hand over the prize in person - and then take part in the official website interview at Carrington training centre.

It's a great opportunity to meet one of your heroes. But which player will get the decision after our dramatic start to the campaign? As ever, there's more than one leading contender.

Joe Hart springs to mind for that fabulous performance at Tottenham on the opening day that showed just why Roberto Mancini decided to go with the young England player as his No.1 goalkeeper.

Nigel de Jong, a consistent contender last term, has bounced back from his disappointment at missing out on a World Cup winner's medal with a string of typically robust displays to win the midfield battle.

Vincent Kompany has gone about his business at the heart of defence with authority and barely put a foot wrong, while Gareth Barry has merited the same accolade further up the park.

Youngster Dedryck Boyata stepped into the European firing line and looked like an old hand, while both Yaya Toure and James Milner have slotted seamlessly into the Mancini Premier League gameplan.

We think they're all in the frame - you might have other ideas, so to ensure your favourite City star doesn’t miss out, register your choice now. Voting closes on Friday, September 3.

Don’t forget, if you vote for the winner, it could be you presenting the award. To cast your vote, click here.
