City’s Family Fun Day at the City of Manchester Stadium proved to be an entertaining afternoon for the 8,500 or so supporters who braved the rain.
Roberto Mancini and his coaches led a light work-out before the squad split into three teams: Bellamy’s Boys, Ade’s Army and Tevez’s Troops.
The players then competed against each other in various drills with Ade’s Army claiming overall victory at the club’s open training session.
New signings Aleksandar Kolarov, Jerome Boateng, Yaya Toure and David Silva were introduced to the fans for the first time, while Nigel de Jong made his first appearance since the World Cup final.
With face painters, magicians and other entertainers providing fun for the free event that was presented by Key 103’s Hugh Ferris, a good time was had by those in attendance.
The Fun Day was also streamed live on the official club website and the club’s official Facebook pages. Thanks to everyone who tuned in and for all the Tweets received during this afternoon.
