Two big games at home for City over the Christmas period, with Aston Villa and Blackpool both visiting Eastlands as 2010 turns into 2011.

We’ve got two Umbro Playlists for you over that period as well, as we look to cheer on the team with some great tunes.

With the fixture double header, we asked you to submit two different Playlists, with two different winners being chosen. The situation was ideal for a theme of beginnings and endings, so we asked you to pick a trio of top tracks that open albums, and three favourites from the close of a record.

Some great choices were put forward as usual, but we picked these two winners from the pile:

For the Aston Villa game, Stuart Barstow chose…

I Wanna Be Adored by The Stone Roses

London Calling by The Clash

Gimme Shelter by The Rolling Stones

Three great openers! For the Blackpool game, James Pugh picked….

Cold Desert by Kings Of Leon

I Get Along by The Libertines

Stand Up by The Prodigy

Some fantastic tracks for warming us all up on New Year’s Day! Congratulations to both Stuart and James, who both win a pair of tickets to the game and the chance to hear their tunes in the ground on the day.

Next up for City at Eastlands after this double header is the visit of Wolves on January 15

For this game, we’ve got another great theme for the Umbro Playlist – we want you to choose three top tracks with animals in them. Whether it’s the name of the band or the song itself, three tunes featuring animals for the visit of Wolves please!

Submissions will be open on the official City facebook page very soon!
