Santa Stroll ready to roll

  • 03 December 2010 14:26

The countdown is on for City's Santa Stroll! Sky blue Santa suits at the ready and be prepared for a real fun day at the City of Manchester Stadium on Sunday.

The 4km charity Stroll, sponsored by Optimum, is the centrepiece of a day of festive fun for all the family with an ice rink, real reindeer and Santa’s sleigh to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Everyone who's bought a Santa suit goes into the hat for a chance of £1,000 of merchandise from the CityStore - and there are other fabulous prizes, vouchers for the Malmaison hotel and VIP match packages courtesy of Etihad, to be won on the day.

Blues manager Roberto Mancini will be there to kick off the event at noon, with every penny of the proceeds going to CITC Giving, the charitable giving arm of the club’s CSR policy.

Sunday's running order is as follows:

10am – City Square opens.

11am – Blue Moon Cafe opens and CityStore opens.

11.30am – Roberto Mancini arrives and the nine prize winners will be drawn on stage.

11.50am – Warm-up for participants.

12noon - Race started by Roberto and Summerbee Bar opens.

Rodney Marsh will be in the CityStore signing copies of his new autobiography "I Was Born A Loose Cannon" from 12-1pm, while Club Ambassador Mike Summerbee will also be signing copies of his new autobiography.
