Another month, another award from the fans for Carlos Tevez!
The striker has run away with the Etihad City player of the month award for the second successive occasion, bagging over 60% of the votes cast by Blues supporters.
In January Carlos picked up from where he left off in December, scoring his first Premier League hat-trick against Blackburn, getting both the goals in our home win over United in the Carling Cup and another in the second leg at Old Trafford.
City fan Anthony Garth from Oldham was picked at random from those who voted for Carlos and will present him with his award on behalf of Etihad at Carrington as well as get to interview the man himself on video for the City website later this month. A delighted Anthony told us, “This news has really made my day, and I can’t wait for my kids and me to meet Carlos.”
Vincent Kompany was the runner up, while Nigel de Jong finished in the top three for the third time this season.
