The Blues will finish off their preparations for the start of the 2010/11 season when they take on Valencia at the City of Manchester Stadium at 7pm on Saturday, 7th August.

It will be the second time within three years that the Spanish club have visited for the final pre-season friendly, having won the Thomas Cook Trophy in 2007.

‘Los Che’ have re-established themselves as a major force in Spanish football over the last decade or so, and having finished third in La Liga last season they are sure to be an ideal test for the Blues as Roberto Mancini fine-tunes his plans.

The game could also present City new boy David Silva with a chance to say goodbye to his former team mates, having swapped clubs last week.
