Vincent Kompany’s reward for some consistent performances over the last month is the Etihad Manchester City Player of the Month award for February.

The popular Belgian has showed off his versatility, turning in some excellent displays in both central defence and midfield, and Blues fans responded to efforts by giving him 38% of the votes cast via Etihad’s web site.

Runner up was Craig Bellamy with 19% while Wayne Bridge was third with 11%.

Every month we pull out one name from a hat of those fans who have voted for the winning player, and this time around the lucky winner is Michael Sharp. He will follow in the footsteps of January’s winner, Anthony Garth, by presenting Vincent with his award at the Carrington training ground.
