The Blue Moon is rising and we can announce that a new bigger and better CityStore will be opening on Market Street later this month.
Following a £1million investment by the club’s new retail partner, Kitbag, the current CityStore in the Arndale Centre will be replaced with the exciting, state-of-the-art store on Market Street. It will be a retail outlet of which fans can be truly proud.
The new store will be a huge 420% bigger than the current store, offering supporters much more choice, with exciting new products including the latest fashion collections, accessories and gifts.
The store will be a new home from home, offering fans the complete Manchester City experience they enjoy at the Stadium whilst they are in the heart of the city.
As part of the new store, Kitbag has also upgraded the ordering facility to offer a multi-channel service, which will see fans able to make a purchase in the club store and have it delivered to anywhere in the world.
Similarly, it is also possible to make a purchase at the online store www.mcfc.co.uk/shop and collect the items in store, saving on postage costs.
With a unique shirt printing laboratory, unrivalled product ranges and sophisticated ordering facilities, the new store will provide City fans with a complete one-stop-shop destination for all City purchases
Commenting on the new store, Kitbag managing director Ray Evans said:
“We want to offer fans a bit of that magic they experience at the Stadium when they walk through the doors of the city centre store. Fans really will be amazed at their new store, as it truly reflects the passion and ambition that encompasses the football club.”
Chief Brand and Commercial Officer for Manchester City FC, Ian Cafferky, said:
"We have a very proud heritage, rooted in the very heart of Manchester, and we are delighted to open our flagship CityStore in such a prominent location in the city centre.
The new purpose built store was designed to offer fans a premium supporter experience and will become a landmark for Blues all over the North West and beyond.”
The existing store in the Arndale Centre will remain open until the new store opens on Market Street on Friday, November 19, with special guests and lots of exciting activity for fans.
