October half-term fun at City

Never mind the weather this half-term! There's still plenty happening here at the City of Manchester Stadium to keep young Blues entertained with a variety of activities for all ages.
Tuesday, October 26 – CityStore Speed Challenge
Take on your heroes and test yourself in the Citystore Speed Challenge. Simply come down to the Citystore between 10am-4pm and test yourself against the first team squad’s scores. Prizes will be awarded to the top 20 scores and for the fastest shot per age group. Can you add your name to the top 20 fastest shots?
*PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO TODAY'S WET WEATHER, THIS EVENT WILL NOW BE HELD ON THE STADIUM CONCOURSE. ENTER USING ENTRANCE Z2 TO JOIN THE FUN!
Wednesday, October 27 – MCFC Design school
If you’ve got a flair for fashion or just love to be creative then the MCFC design school is perfect for you. Umbro will be on hand to talk through the fundamentals of kit design and then youngsters will be given the opportunity to put that into practice in our fun and interactive competition to design a tee-shirt. The winning design will get their shirt made up and you never know it could be in the CityStore before too long!
The class will be held within the City of Manchester stadium at 10:30am until noon and we will have space to accommodate up to 35 students on a first come, first served basis. Simply register your interest via email@example.com quoting ‘MCFC design school’
Wednesday, October 27 – Junior Sports Reporter
Back by popular demand the MCFC sports reporter course hosted by Ian Cheeseman of BBC Radio Manchester returns. Ian will give you a sneak preview into the life of a sports journalist on match day with a tour of the media and press areas of the stadium. If you want to become the next John Motson then we also have a fun competition for young hopefuls aged between 6 and 15 to try their hand at commentating on a City game.
The lucky winner will receive two match tickets and the opportunity to sit alongside Ian as he reports on the Manchester City versus Wolverhampton Wanderers game on Saturday, January 15 PLUS the chance to join Ian Cheeseman & Paul Lake as a guest in the studio for the BBC Manchester radio show Blue Tuesday.
The course will run between 2-4pm and all you need to do is simply register your interest via firstname.lastname@example.org quoting ‘Junior Sports Reporter’
If you are aged 16+ and feel you have missed out on your dream of becoming a Sports Reporter – fear not. We plan to hold an adult version of Sports Reporter during the month of December. Details to be announced on www.mcfc.co.uk at a later date.
Thursday 28th October – Buzzer’s book signing!
Come and meet City legend Mike Summerbee at the stadium CityStore from 11am-1pm, and get your hands on a personally signed copy of the new paperback edition of his autobiography! ‘Mike Summerbee – The Autobiography’ is a story of a true City legend, and in the three new chapters, Mike tells his inside story of the dramatic events surrounding the club in recent times, including the controversial spell of Thaksin Shinawatra and the amazing takeover by Sheikh Mansour.
Thursday, October 28 – Player Signing Session!
A first team player will be making an appearance at the stadium City Store to meet fans, sign merchandise and pose for pictures. A further announcement will be made via www.mcfc.co.uk to confirm which player will be attending.
Friday, October 29 – Search for a Silky Skills Star!
Come down to the stadium store between 10am and 4pm and showcase your silky skills and be in contention to win a fantastic prize. In this X-factor meets football contest you simply have to showboat your footballing skills and we will pick out five of the best to perform at the grand final on City Square in front of the Blue hordes before a Premiership game.

Saturday 30th October – CITC Family Fun Day
The CITC family fun day is the perfect way to end a busy week of activity as CITC offer a wide variety of activities between 1-4pm down on City Square. Enjoy a wide range of activities including football, basketball, street dance, judo & beat the goalie. Or try the bouncy castle and get your picture taken with Moonchester! Entertainment for the whole family!
Sunday 31st October: Halloween Stadium Tours
Come and join us on the spooky stadium tour in your Halloween costumes for a trick or treat on Sunday October 31st. Guess the correct amount of pumpkins (on the tour) and you could be in with a chance to win a family ticket (2 adults & 2 children) to watch City v Bolton. You’ll have a fang-tastic time!
