Napoli will be City’s first opponents in the Champions League when the Italian side visit the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, 14 September.

Both sides will be making their debuts in Europe’s elite competition in its current format, although Napoli played in the European Cup after their Serie A triumphs in the 1980s.

Following that, City will travel to Germany to take on four-times European champions Bayern Munich on Tuesday, 27 September.
