Tevez proved how vital he is to this City team by single-handedly pulling City from the verge of defeat to cement City's place at the top of the league, albeit for twenty four hours. There is little doubt that this time last year we would not have got anything out of the game, but there's a new mentality to this City team - a belief, a desire to win, and a refusal to be compared to yesterday's nearly men.

It took 25 minutes or so for City to settle down, however, Dzeko made his debut in promising style and showed that he’s not afraid to tackle the tough defenders of the premier league. The pass he made to Yaya Toure to make the third goal was superb, and it looks like it’s going to be a great partnership with him and Tevez.

The start of the second half was a revelation – obviously Mancini has a way with teacups. Dzeko looked much more comfortable once the second goal went in and his part in the third was top class.

Great game and end to end non-stop action. Good debut for Dzeko. Great going forward, but we need to shore up our defence. At 4-1 up, we should have closed up shop but instead we let in two soft goals and almost threw it away.

Edin Dzeko was class, especially considering he hasn't played since before the German winter break! Carlos Tevez though was out of this world! He is arguably the best striker in the world at this moment in time. Premiership player of the year 100%
