Voting is now open for the March Etihad Player of the Month.
As ever, there are several outstanding candidates and we need your help to choose the player who has gone just that little bit further over the past few weeks.
To assist you in selecting a winner, we’ve narrowed down the five outstanding performers to the following quintet:
Nigel de Jong: Stunning return to the first team by the Dutch midfielder who returned against Wigan in early March and then collected man-of-the-match awards against Reading and Dynamo Kyiv. Considering he’d been out for five weeks, he’s hit the ground running.
Joleon Lescott: Back in the team and looking in the sort of form he finished last season in. Has looked solid, confident and top of his game – played every game in March as well as appearing for England against Ghana.
Micah Richards: Last month’s winner and again outstanding during March, even managing to power home the goal that took the Blues to Wembley against Reading. Out with injury now but has more than earned the right to be in this list.
Vincent Kompany: Is Vinny ever out of the running? The rock in defence and City’s Mr Dependable, Kompany was at his usual brilliant best during March.
Yaya Toure: A powerhouse of a footballer, Yaya is the perfect link from defence through to attack and had enough lung-bursting runs to merit his inclusion in this month’s shortlist.
To vote for your favourite and have the chance to present the award to the winner at Carrington in person, simply follow this link, select your choice and you will be automatically entered into the prize draw.
Voting closes on April 7.
