X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has been confirmed as the headline act at this year’s glitzy Fashion Kicks event in Manchester.
The R&B pop star will perform some of her biggest hits to date for guests at the sold out Fashion Kicks 2011 show, which is raising money for three charitable causes - the main benefactor being Macmillan Cancer Support, along with Beechwood Cancer Care Centre in Stockport and the Adopt a School project.
Commenting on the announcement, Alexandra said: “I am delighted to be involved with Fashion Kicks again and support such worthy causes, all of which make a real difference to lives of so many people."
Even if you don’t have a ticket to the show, you can still help Fashion Kicks reach its donation target by texting FASHION KICKS to 70444 or visiting www.fashionkicks.org.uk. Your donation will cost £1.50 plus your standard network message charge, and you'll also have the chance to win a VIP prize.
Up for grabs is a pair of exclusive tickets to watch City’s last home game of the season against Stoke on 17 May.
The lucky winner will get to experience the invite-only Chairman’s Lounge, normally only reserved for the Chairman, Club officials and visiting VIPs as well as staying in the swish Malmaison hotel and enjoying a chauffeur-driven ride to the game

As if that’s not enough, the winner will also receive two VIP tickets to Fashion Kicks, where they will once again stay at the Malmaison, be chauffeur-driven to the event in a limousine and get to walk down the red carpet with the rest of the City players.
This year’s show, which is supported by City and Republic of Ireland International goalkeeper Shay Given and his wife Jane, will also see the Blues' first team squad strut their stuff on the catwalk alongside top model and actress Lily Cole.
Held at The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Club’s newly developed £12m conference and events centre, this year’s show promises to be the biggest yet, with organisers aiming to break the £1m donation mark.
“The support we have received for Fashion Kicks has blown us away again this year," said Shay."To sell out all the tickets in under a week was amazing, especially as all the money raised goes to charity. I have a good feeling this will be the year donations reach a seven figure sum, and for that we have the amazing generosity of everyone who gives their time and money to the show to thank.”
