Sky Blue Santa Stroll 2011 is upon us and is set to be even bigger than last year.
More than 1,700 people have made a donation to Shoot for the Moon partnership by enrolling as ‘Strollers’ and purchasing a blue Santa Suit.
We are also delighted that Roberto Mancini has agreed to be the official ‘starter’ of Santa Stroll 2011.
Furthermore, World Cup-winner Patrick Vieira once again demonstrates his commitment to the Manchester community by taking part, too.
Both he and David Threlfall (Frank Gallagher from ‘Shameless’) have agreed that those fans wishing to sponsor them to complete the course may do so by donating to Shoot For the Moon by clicking here.
Join Patrick and David in City Square at 11.30am on Sunday and purchase your Santa suit from the box office and be part of our big day!
The Sky Blue Santa Stroll is the centrepiece of our festive family fun day on 4 December with more ambitious runners having the option of a 5km fun run, starting and finishing in the Square.
There will be a host of other activities in City Square including a festive market, snowboard simulator, activities for the children and the now-famous Snowball Challenge.
There will also be fabulous entertainment from local bands and singers. All participants will also receive 15% off at the CityStore on the day on production of a valid race number.
Santa Stroll is all about City fans getting together, having fun and raising as much money as we can for vulnerable young people and families in Manchester.
Shoot for the Moon was created by MCFC and Sport Relief as a fundraising partnership in order to help young people reach their goals.
Entry to the Santa Stroll costs £15 for adults and while the junior Santa suits have completely sold out, children are welcome to attend free of charge with their parents.
