Albert Square isn’t the only place to find Manchester's famous festive markets over the holiday season.
For the first time in the Club’s history, MCFC will be hosting our own version, 'December Match-day Markets’ in City Square.
The stalls will feature food and gifts from across the Continent and will be in full swing at the next four home matches, kicking off this Saturday prior to the clash with Norwich and continuing throughout December for Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Stoke.
Nick Becker – Head of Event Production for City, said: “The December markets are loved by everyone in Manchester and with City Square, we have the ideal setting to put our stamp on what is a great day out for fans and families alike”.
The markets will also be open for the Club’s famous Santa Stroll on 4 December, which will once again see thousands of Blues fans adorn sky blue Santa suits and race around the Etihad Stadium in aid of the Club’s charities.
The market stalls will include: Football memorabilia traders, MCFC and Manchester photography stalls, I Love Manchester, LEGOLAND, Harvey Nichols’ ‘Pop-up stall’.
Food stalls will include: Traditional bratwurst Bavarian sausage, crepes, pancakes and hot chocolate, regional produce will also be on offer in the form of the latest food sensation to hit the North West, the ‘Manchester Egg’ and the Blue Moon Cafe and Summerbee Bar will also be open.
In addition to the winter wonderland, City fans can also expect live bands and DJs, plus famous sports and celebrity guests as part of the usual pre-match build up in City Square.
