David Silva is causing a stir around the globe again - this time without even kicking a ball.

The gifted City star and World Cup winner, known by his teammates as Merlin, found himself trending worldwide on Twitter this morning after we tweeted fans to submit questions for him to answer in our popular video series.

#askdavid brought the replies rolling in and within 45 minutes #askdavid was trending in Manchester - ten minutes later he was trending worldwide next to Justin Bieber and Halloween. Spooky.

Sam Hood, who also sent out the #askdavid tweet in Spanish, said: "We didn't just get a brilliant response from our fans - thousands of people wanted to know what it was all about!"
