On Saturday City will become the first Premier League club to host the new EA SPORTS™ Dugout in City Square - the Club’s dedicated fan and entertainment zone at the Etihad Stadium.
Fans will have the chance to get up close and personal with an exclusive preview of EA SPORTS brand new FIFA 12 title before its official release on 30th September.
In addition to the Dugout, there will also be a dedicated Manchester City FIFA 12 gaming area, specially designed to feature the City players from the eagerly anticipated game. Blues fans will be able to get first glimpses of what their favourite players will look like, having all undergone 360 degree, image capturing to ensure their likenesses appear truly authentic in FIFA 12.
The six-station gaming hubs, with 40-inch screens that allow 12 players to play at once, will be placed in the newly refurbished Family Stand concourse.
Nick Becker, Head of Events for Manchester City, said:
“The new EA SPORTS DUGOUT and gaming stations are part of a series of innovative match-day activities City fans can enjoy this season, both in City Square and in the Stadium’s Family stand.
“At this Saturday’s match we will be running FIFA 12 tournaments for City fans, with great prizes from EA SPORTS and MCFC both before and after the match.”
Nick Harford, Football Business Lead at EA SPORTS, said:
“We are delighted to be installing a new purpose-built EA SPORTS gaming area within the upper concourse family area at Etihad Stadium.
“Saturday’s activity represents the first of EA SPORTS bespoke Manchester City Etihad Stadium gaming areas, with further developments now underway.”
The installation of the concourse gaming area is part of the Manchester City and EA SPORTS partnership that will see EA SPORTS create a series of exciting MCFC fan experiences over the course of the season.
Special guests and newly crowned County Championship winners, Lancashire County Cricket Club will also be dropping by on stage in City Square to show off the Championship trophy, ensuring the Etihad Stadium is the place to be this Saturday.
