There’s little doubt that this is the most significant Manchester derby in living memory and our betting partner Paddy Power have a range of odds for the big game.

The Blues come into the contest in the better form having won three Premier League games in-a-row and in the process scoring twelve goals and conceding just one.  United on the other hand have dropped points in two of their last three games which is why Paddy Power make City 5/4 favourites to take the three points and move to the top of the table.

For those looking for slightly longer odds a repeat of the 6-1 at Old Trafford is priced up at 425/1!!

However, given the scoring records of both sides, a high-scoring thriller could be on the cards. More than 3.5 goals in the ninety minutes can be backed at 2/1 and more than 4.5 goals could be a profitable 9/2.

Up front for City, Sergio Aguero now has five goals in his last three games with Carlos Tevez scoring four in his last three. The Argentine pair are judged to be equally dangerous with Paddy Power pricing them both at 6/1 to score first and 9/5 to score anytime. As a form guide, Aguero has also scored in each of City’s last two games against United.

For all the talk of high-scoring game a 1-0 City win at 7/1 would more than likely see the home fans performing the Poznan with the same enthusiasm as if City had won 6-1.

In terms of the title race itself ahead of the game City are 7/4 and United 4/9 to claim the Premier League trophy.  Watch out for a two-hour ‘special’ bet available on Monday afternoon.
