City supporters and staff galvanized this winter to support Key 103’s Mission Christmas campaign, designed to enhance Christmases of children and young people in need.
City fans all over Manchester picked up an extra present while Christmas shopping and in doing so, thanks to Key103, provided children living in severe poverty in Manchester a Christmas present they may not have otherwise received.
CITC collected hundreds of presents from supporters and members of the community that were dropped off at the City Store, and were overwhelmed by the generosity shown while collecting donations at City’s home game with Everton at the beginning of the month.
The efforts of CITC, which included the donation of 41 footballs, 17 tops and 12 goody bags, contributed to the 290 presents provided by everyone at City.
Mission Christmas, launched and established by Key103’s breakfast show, Cash for Kids and The Corn Exchange, are pushing to provide one toy for every child living in severe poverty in Greater Manchester by Christmas.
The Club would like to thank everyone who participated.
