Blue Moon, you saw me standing alone, without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own…
It’s weird that the first lines of our song are all about standing alone, when that’s the last thing we do at City.
Since day one, we’ve stood together. Sang together. Sobbed together. Practically sucked the ball into the back of the net together.
There’s a blue thread that runs through every single bit of this club – from the tearoom to the changing room, the stands to the overseas supporters clubs. The support we get day in, day out, is a wonder to behold – and it’s rightly made our fans a legend in the game.
#Together is all about your stories, pictures and experiences of what it means to be a City fan.
#Together We Are City is all about actually sharing those stories, pictures and experiences with the Club. It doesn’t matter if it’s the good times or the bad times, so long as it’s the Blue times.
To kick-start the campaign, we’re on the lookout for pictures of fans simply being #Together, because let’s face it. When you’re a Blue, you’re never really alone.
It can be in the stadium stands singing your heart out. Down the local pub watching the game on the box with your friends or even just in your living room with your family, cheering on Roberto’s men.
Not only will the pictures be shared on the website, Facebook, Manc Magazine, in City Square and on the big screens in the Stadium on a match-day, but we also have a special surprise in store.
The very best pictures from the campaign will be used as part of a massive centre-circle banner that will be revealed before City’s derby day clash with Manchester United on 30th April.
To be in with a chance to be on the pitch that day, for what is set to be possibly the most important game we’ve played in the last 44 years, simply upload youir photos to our Facebook page, add them to our Flickr group or tweet them to us using the hashtag #together.
Together we are stronger, Together we sing louder, but above all, Together we are City!
