Umbro T shirt design competition: The winner

A huge well done to Andrew Mallelieu, whose design (pictured below) has been voted by you, the fans, as the overall winner of the Umbro design a tee competition.
His impressive design was chosen by our kit partners as one of five finalists from the hundreds we received. Over 2000 of you then voted, and whilst it was a close call Andrew’s tee edged it and will be made into a limited edition shirt.
The City players were the first to model Andrew’s fetching design, wearing it in the warm-ups before today’s clash with Sunderland
The winning shirt is on sale now in the CityStore and all proceeds from sales will go to Shoot For The Moon.
On his winning graphic, Andrew explained:
“My inspiration for the design came from our clubs rich heritage. I don’t bemoan certain fans for not recognising or understanding all the items; in fact I hope it can educate some of the younger supporters!”
Well done, Andrew!
Shoot for the Moon is a fundraising partnership between Manchester City and Sport Relief and this t-shirt competition is the latest example of activity in which fans can get involved, raise cash and change lives as all the money raised through the sale of the t-shirts* will be going to help vulnerable young people and families living in the Manchester area.
