We are delighted to announce the launch of The 3rd Half, a brand new live Q&A session offering City supporters around the world the chance to get directly involved in the build-up to key matches throughout the season, starting this Sunday.

Utilising Google+’s Hangout technology, a multi-way video chat feature which allows up to 10 participants at once, fans will be able to interact with the Club during the matchday like never before.

Each session will be streamed live on City’s Google+ and YouTube channels allowing City supporters to watch the Q&A for free.

The first Hangout will be hosted by Patrick Vieira this Sunday (September 23rd) before City’s highly anticipated match against Arsenal, giving fans the chance to ask Patrick any questions they may have before the big game.

Russell Stopford, Head of Digital at City, said:  “With the social media landscape changing so quickly, we are constantly creating new, innovative ways to connect with the Club’s supporters. Our partnership with Google+ will give our fans the chance to interact with their favourite players in a way they’ve never been able to do before, wherever they are in the world.”

Richard Keelty, Head of UK sports marketing partnerships, Google+, said: ''The ''3rd half'' Hangout series are a great example of how a Football Club can engage with their fans. Manchester City is the first Club to offer supporters a unique insight in the build-up to key matches throughout the season by using Google+ Hangouts."
