Yesterday, over 1,000 Sky Blues Santas took part in our fourth annual Santa Stroll and we'd like to thank each and every one of them for their participation...

On a dry winters day, fans were in great spirits, walking around the Etihad Stadium Campus. For the first time, Santas were also able to walk pitchside on the route.

Thanks to official event sponsor Quoteline Direct, the event helped to raise a considerable amount of money for City in the Community and their chosen charities. With the proceeds of every suit sold going to good causes, fans turned out in force to walk the 5k route.

Before the race, BT City Square presenters Danny Jackson and Natalie Pike hosted live entertainment and competitions, with Fan Ambassador Andy Morrison and actor John Henshaw setting the Dashers and Strollers across the start line.

Adults, children and a variety of dogs dressed in City costumes enjoyed activities in BT City Square, including the Barclays activity area which hosted the Rodeo Reindeer, the Snowboard Simulator and Santa in his Grotto.

The first person to cross the finish line in the new Santa Dash was Rob Flannery in the male race. In the female race, Emily Newton came first and both runners received prizes provided by race partners Foot Asylum.

CITC would like to thank all participants, sponsors and race partners for their kind contributions and we hope to see you all again next year.

Our next CITC event is 'Velocity', which will take place on 22 March 2014. If you would like to take part, please click here to sign up.
