Manager Manuel Pellegrini was delighted with his side’s performance of reaching the last 16 of the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
“We have a strong team, we have a strong squad, we will see who we will play in February, but I can assure you they will not be very happy to play against us. No one will.” he said.
The Chilean’s side have now scored 18 goals in their last five games in all competitions, (an average of 3.6 goals) conceding just four. City are 13/10 with Paddy Power to score three or more goals against Sunderland.
City’s last three league victories (Everton 3-1, West Ham 1-3 and Norwich 7-0) have been by a minimum of two goals and City can be backed at evens (-1) on the handicap betting or 13/5 (-2) with the online firm.
The Citizens have taken the lead within 17 minutes in their last two games and Paddy Power bet 10/3 that the first goal will come between the 11th and 20th minute while the visitors to the Stadium of Light are evens to score in both halves and 11/5 to win both halves.
