The best odds from Paddy Power ahead of City v Swansea...
Both teams come in to this game on the back of Premier League victories. Swansea picked up their third away win of the season with a 2-1 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage while City maintained their 100% home record in the league with their 6-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
That win makes it six from six at the Etihad Stadium this season. Even more impressive has been their goal-scoring exploits, hitting 26 goals during those six games and conceding just twice. This gives City an average of 4.66 goals per game at home.
This stands in stark contrast to Swansea’s away record where only 11 goals have been scored in their six away trips. Six of which were for Swansea’s benefit, giving us a simply worked out average of one goal a game for Michael Laudrup’s side.
Despite Swansea’s solid record on the road, City are understandably 3/10 favourites to make it seven from 7seven. With Pellegrini’s side winning all six games by at least two goals, City-1 goal at 5/6 is a very solid bet. City -2 goals at 9/4 and City -3 goals at 5/1 should both be considered given recent scoring exploits.
Although the goals are being spread around Sergio Aguero has now scored ten league goals and 16 in all competitions this season. The Argentine striker scored a brace against Swansea two seasons ago and on current form he’s the man to back at 3/1 to score first.
This will be just the third time City have hosted Swansea at the Etihad Stadium, winning the previous two games to nil. Considering their excellent defensive record at home this season City to win to nil in this game at 11/10 is well worth considering.
