City to win 1/5
With just five games to go Manchester City host West Bromwich Albion at the Etihad looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League. Having beaten the Baggies 3-2 at the Hawthornes already this season, making it seven wins and one draw in their last eight league meetings, City are heavy favourites to win at 1/5.
Total Goals in match
City have kept five clean sheets in their last seven games against West Brom and are evens to keep the visitors at bay on Monday. They have also scored at least three goals in three of the last four games against the visitors at the Etihad Stadium. City are 4/6 to score three or more goals in this game.
Due to the short match price there has been plenty of interest in City -1 goal at 8/15 and City -2 goals at 13/10. If you’re expecting Manuel Pellegrini’s men to bounce back with added purpose then you can take on City -3 goals at 3/1.
There are two obvious candidates in the goalscoring markets in this game. Sergio Aguero, with another hour of football under his belt, is the clear favourite with the punters at 5/2 to score first and 4/11 to score anytime. The Argentine striker has three goals in four games against West Brom, two of which were the opening goals in their respective games. Both of which came within the first ten minutes. A goal to be scored up to and including the 10th minute is priced at 12/5 in this game.
Edin Dzeko is next in the betting at 7/2 to score first and 8/13 to score anytime. With three goals in his last three goals against West Brom heshould find plenty of backers in this game. If he isn’t in the first eleven he’s worth a shout to score the last goal at 7/2.
Just like Sunderland West Brom are still scrapping for their Premier League safety and will arrive at the Etihad Stadium looking to make things as difficult as possible for Manchester City. The end goal for this game is to secure three points, whether it’s by three goals or just one. Manchester City to win by exactly one goal is a profitable 16/5 if this game turns out to be tighter than the odds-makers are expecting.
