Early opening for City Square

City Square will be open early on Saturday morning ahead of the mouth-watering clash with champions Chelsea.

Bluemoon Cafe will be open from 9am and the bars will open at 11am. Kick-off is 12.45pm.

There will also be a number of CITC related events around the Square which we will detail when we bring you the full running order later in the week.

We will have a special offer for the peckish with the The Blue Banger breakfast barm available from all food kiosks within the stadium for £3, or £4.50 with a hot drink.

As at other home games this season beer will be pre-poured ahead of half-time.

The club has received some complaints and questions about this policy but having investigated alternatives believe it to be the best way to provide a tip-top service for our fans.

“The reasoning for pre-pouring is that it enables us to have product available ahead of what is a short, high demand service period of half time, thus reducing queue times,” said a club spokesman.

“The product is pre-poured around 5-7 minutes before the half time whistle and does not affect the quality of the beer,  this is a tried and tested method of meeting service demands which without we would be unable to meet the extremely high customer demand.”
