Abdi Ibrahim’s loan deal with Scunthorpe United has been extended until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old moved to Glanford Park for a month initially but has impressed Iron boss Ian Baraclough enough to stay for the rest of 2010/11.

The Norwegian midfielder has made four appearances for Scunthorpe, and was sent off against Middlesbrough, but he is now set to help in their bid to stay in the Championship, which was boosted by a win over high-flying Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.

City’s Elite Development Squad will now take on Manchester United on Thursday, April 7 at Altrincham FC. The game was rescheduled due to United’s involvement in the FA Youth Cup this week, and as a result the Barclays Premier Reserve League game against Wolves has been put back by 24 hours, to April 4.
