Alex Tchuimeni-Nimely has joined Championship club Middlesbrough on a three-month loan.

The Liberia-born striker made his senior debut in the 6-1 victory at Burnley in April 2010 and was in the England Under-20 squad for the World Cup in Colombia this summer.

He signed a four-year contract for City in April 2010 and made his European debut last season in the Europa League tie against Juventus in Turin.

Alex, who has not figured in the team this season, will be prevented by a hamstring injury from making an immediate debut for Boro tomorrow at Crystal Palace.
