City Elite Development Squad play their final game of 2012 when they entertain Fulham at Platt Lane at 2pm on Monday.
Many of the players who featured in the FA Youth Cup win over Sunderland will be available to play, including Sinan Bytyqi, Marcos Lopes and Jose Angel Pozo.
Lombardo was delighted with the performance in that 3-1 win, praising his young side’s character to seal a fourth round passage.
“It was a good performance and a good result, I thought we worked very hard, we were comfortable all game and we deserved the result,” Lombardo said.
“It’s important for the club to finish 2012 against Fulham next week on a high – we know we have a young team and we must continue to work hard and show character.”
Summer acquisition Vlad Marin will also be available to make his debut after receiving international clearance to become a City player.
City lost their last meeting with the Cottagers 1-0 but know that a win will propel them into Tier One of the Qualification Groups of the Barclays Premier League second stage.
